USE:
Any use of Alumni Center facilities for meetings or special events must be
scheduled through the Director of Alumni Center Facilities and Services at
850-645-2359 or
thunt@fsu.edu.
EQUIPMENT/ANCILLARY SERVICES:
Rental equipment (equipment rented over and above items supplied by Alumni
Center and covered under the contract rental fee)
and services
such as tents, dance floors, floral arrangements, linens, extended AV services
and the like must be contracted by licensee separately but delivery of same must
be coordinated with the Director of Alumni Center Facilities and Services. The
Alumni Center can provide linens for an additional fee.
FOOD:
The Alumni Center does not provide in-house catering services. Licensees may
use a licensed and insured caterer of choice.
ALCOHOL:
Alcohol service is permitted on Alumni Center grounds within University
guidelines and according to law. All contemplated alcohol beverage service must
be coordinated through the Facilities and Services
Department.

SMOKING:
The Alumni Center is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is permitted outdoors in
designated areas.
DELIVERIES:
All deliveries for meetings/special events must be coordinated with the
Facilities and Services
Department.
The Florida State University Alumni Association cannot assume any responsibility
for items left on the premises by the caterer, rental company or facility user.
DECORATIONS:
No tacks, nails, tape or similar items may be used in meeting rooms and/or
corridors. All plans
for decoration must be approved by the Facilities and Services
Department.
ENTERTAINMENT:
The Alumni Association and Florida State University reserve the right to deny
entertainment and/or music deemed inappropriate. Entertainment plans must be
shared with and approved by the Director of Alumni Center Facilities and
Services.
PARKING:
Convenient parking, including handicap accessible spaces,
is available
in several lots located around the Alumni Center.
Parking is free.
Use of
barricaded lots surrounding the Center must be approved by the Director of
Alumni Center Facilities and Services If the date of an event
falls
during the work week, arrangements must be made in advance to barricade the
lots. If
this service is requested, additional fees will be assessed.
PAYMENT:
Acceptable forms of payment include procurement cards, Visa, MasterCard or
American Express credit cards, check or cash. If paying by check, please make
payable to FSU Alumni Association.
LIABILITY:
Each facility user shall indemnify and hold harmless the Alumni Association,
Florida State University and the Florida State University Board of Trustees, and
agents and employees thereof, against any and all damages, claims, liability due
to loss of the property of others or any other liability arising out of use of
Alumni Center facilities. The facility user is responsible for payment of any
damages to or loss of the Association’s property if it occurred as a result of
the preparations or clean up for, or during the contracted event itself. See
License Agreement for further provisions regarding event insurance, etc.
COMPLIANCE:
The FSU Alumni Association and Florida State University reserve the right to
deny use or continued use of facilities to any person or organization not
complying with the applicable policies and procedures.
